W piątej edycji KSIĄŻKA I CO DALEJ galeria zaprezentowała międzynarodowy pokaz pt. „ALPHABET” odnoszący się do poezji wizualnej i dźwiękowej. Idea wystawy, w swoim generalnym założeniu, odnosiła się do fenomenu alfabetu, logicznego i praktycznego układu liter, najczęściej od a do z, który w naszym kręgu kulturowym, od wieków stanowi podstawę w procesie zapisu myśli ludzi. Zaproszeni do tego pokazu artyści zostali „zobligowani” do zaprezentowania prac, w których punktem wyjścia są litery budujące zapis alfabetu. Wielu z nich z materią „literową”, czy „poetycką” pracuje od lat i stanowi ona dla nich podstawę wypowiedzi twórczych w sztuce. Wystawa prezentowała bardzo szerokie podejście do tego problemu, a prace były artykułowane w różnorodnych mediach artystycznych, od zapisu /wydruku/ utworu na kartce papieru, formy przestrzennej, filmu wideo, do realizacji generowanych w komputerze. Z jednej strony, na wystawie „ALPHABET” swoje prace pokazywali prekursorzy tej sztuki tj. Emmett Williams (poezja konkretna) i Bernard Heidsieck (poezja dźwiękowa), z drugiej strony artyści tzw. średniej generacji tj. Joanna Adamczewska, Ann Noël, Jarosław Kozłowski, Sef Peeters, Jürgen O.Olbrich, Robert Szczerbowski, Tomasz Wilmański, dla których problematyka sztuki związanej ze słowem, układem literowym etc. jest istotnym elementem w ich poszukiwaniach artystycznych; jak i artyści młodego pokolenia, traktujący sztukę odnoszącą się do semantyki i lingwistyki, w nowy, kreatywny sposób tj. Małgorzata Gryglicka, Joanna Hoffmann, Artur Klinaú, Adam Witkowski.
In the fifth edition of BOOK AND WHAT NEXT, the gallery presented an international show entitled "ALPHABET" referring to visual and sound poetry. The idea of exhibition, in its general assumption, referred to the phenomenon of the alphabet, a logical and practical arrangement of letters, most often from a to z, which in our culture has been the basis in the process of recording people's thoughts for centuries. The artists invited to this show were "obliged" to present works in which the starting point are the letters that constitute the alphabet. Many of them have been working with "literary" or "poetic" matter for years and it is the basis for their creative expressions in art. The exhibition presented a very broad approach to this problem, and the works were presented in various artistic media, from recording/printing the work on a piece of paper, spatial form, video, to computer-generated works. On the one hand, the precursors of this art, i.e. Emmett Williams (concrete poetry) and Bernard Heidsieck (sound poetry), showed their works at the "ALPHABET" exhibition, on the other hand, artists of the so-called middle generation, i.e. Joanna Adamczewska, Ann Noël, Jarosław Kozłowski, Sef Peeters, Jürgen O. Olbrich, Robert Szczerbowski, Tomasz Wilmański, for whom the issues of art related to words, letter arrangements, etc. is an important element in their artistic exploration; as well as artists of the younger generation who treat art related to semantics and linguistics in a new, creative way, such as Małgorzata Gryglicka, Joanna Hoffmann, Artur Klinaú, Adam Witkowski.
