Bente Stokke (b. 1952 in Oslo, Norway); studied at the Statens Kunst- og Håndtverksskole, Oslo (1973 - 1974), Camberwell School of Art and Design, London U.K. (1974 - 1975), Royal College of Art, London, U.K. (1975 - 1978), Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, The Netherlands (1979 - 1981) Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan (1999-2004). From 2006 she is Professor at Kunsthochschule Berlin, Weissensee. Bente Stokke’s sculptures, drawings, installations and performance have been exhibited for over twenty-five years.
