Marek Wasilewski (b. 1968); he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan (1993) and Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London (1998). He was a fellow of The British Council, Fulbright and the Kosciuszko Foundation. He works at the University of Arts in Poznan, where he runs Studio Video at the Intermedia Department and director of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications. He is the author of texts, which he published in Art Monthly, Springerin, pictogram, Arts Magazine, Res Publica Nowa and Czas Kultury, of which he is editor-in-chief since 2001. His works show individual exhibitions, among others: Scrap Movies in Zone Contemporary Art in Szczecin (2013) Symphony in CAFA Museum of Art in Beijing (2014), Stones, Kronika Gallery Bytom (2015) and the collective: Oxymoron of normality, Depot, Istanbul, Your city is the battlefield, MSN Warsaw, Romance manifestations, BWA Sokol Nowy Sacz (2014), Between Democracies, Constitution Hill, Johannesburg, Je brûle Paris, Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, Test Exposer, Biennial of New Media Art WRO, Wroclaw, Children of Satan, National Museum, Cracow (2015). He lives and works in Poznan.
