ARTUR KLINAU
Artur Klinaú (ur. 1965 r. w Mińsku, Białoruś). Absolwent Wydziału Architektury Białoruskiej Akademii Politechnicznej w Mińsku (1987). Od 1998 roku jest szefem Białoruskiego Związku Sztuki Współczesnej. Obecnie jest redaktorem naczelnym pisma artystycznego „pARTisan”. W 2008 wydał książkę p.t. "Mińsk. Przewodnik po Mieście Słońce". Artur Klinaú należy do czołowych artystów na Białorusi; prace artystyczne wystawiał na wielu wystawach indywidualnych oraz zbiorowych na Białorusi, Litwie, w Polsce, Szwajcarii, USA, Anglii, Litwie, Rosji, Niemczech, Francji, Holandii. W sztuce zajmuje się obiektami, instalacją, fotografią. Książka Szalom (Hełm, 2010). Mieszka i pracuje w Mińsku.
Artur Klinaú (born 1965 in Minsk, Byelorussia); is an architect, artist, author, and editor. Studied in the Department of Architecture of the Byelorussian Polytechnic Academy in Minsk. Since 1998 he has been chairman of the Byelorussian Union of Modern Art and, since 2001, chief editor of the art magazine “pARTisan”. His book, Minsk. Sonnenstadt der Traume [Minsk. Sun city of dreams] was published by Suhrkamp Verlag in 2006. He has appeared in many exhibitions in Poland, Russia, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, USA, England, France, Lithuania, Byelorussia and Sweden. He does objects and installations, and is the author of a cycle of works entitled “Texts” (1997-1999), alluding to famous philosophers and politicians. He lives and works in Minsk, Byelorussia.
