“Two years ago I worked in Argument Vertoningsruimte in Tilburg; this was after a period of relative calm in my artistic pursuits since 2007. I wanted to reflect on my work, to see what inspired me and what could give direction to my restart. I drew a railing on the wall, referring to the fences that I made just before and during my stay in New York (1987-88). It made visible the present and tomorrow, the here and the far. It also gave space to the here and now, and a view of tomorrow. For this exhibition, I shall expand upon this work”. [Sef Peeters]
