Idea pokazu zakłada nawiązanie swoistego dialogu pomiędzy artystami wywodzącymi się z różnych generacji wiekowych, wychowanymi w różnych kulturach, mających różne podejście do sztuki. Ale zapewne łączy ich duża aktywność twórcza, pasja partycypacji w sztuce, czy posługiwanie się współczesnymi mediami, takimi jak instalacja, wideo, fotografia, rysunek, książka artystyczna, czy poezja wizualna. Zawarte w tytule wystawy odwołanie się do pojęcia “rozmowy/dialogu” to, z jednej strony, sprowokowanie autentycznej wymiany myśli pomiędzy twórcami żyjącymi w sąsiednich krajach, po dwóch stronach granicy (już od jakiegoś czasu symbolicznej), z drugiej strony, to próba przełamywania stereotypów związanych z historycznym i obecnym bagażem doświadczeń dzielącym - łączącym Polskę i Niemcy. W tym kontekście naczelnym założeniem wystawy „ROZMOWY / GESPRÄCHE” jest pokazanie, że w sztuce, będącej personalną funkcją bytową, rozgrywa się od pokoleń podstawowe pole dialogu, porozumienia, przenikania się kultur, oraz że w swoich pryncypiach dociera ona do uniwersalnych wartości intelektualnych i duchowych.

The exhibition „ROZMOWY / GESPRÄCHEN” presents works of eight artists associated with the AT Gallery in Poznań, four from Poland – Natalia Brandt, Ewa Kulesza, Paweł Polus, Tomasz Wilmański and four from Germany – Rolf Giegold, Inge Mahn, Jürgen O. Olbrich, Roland Stratmann.
The idea of the show assumes establishing a kind of a dialogue between the artists stemming from different age generations, brought up in different cultures with different approaches to art. But they certainly share high creative activity and passion for participation in art, or the use of contemporary media such as installation, video, photography, drawing, art book or visual poetry. The reference included in the title of the exhibition to the concept of "conversation/dialogue" is, on the one hand, aimed to encourage an authentic exchange of thoughts between artists living in neighboring countries on both sides of the border (for some time already symbolic), on the other hand, it is an attempt to break the stereotypes connected with the historical and current body of experiences that separtes – connects Poland and Germany. In this context, the main aim of the ROZMOWY / GESPRÄCHEN exhibit is to show that art, which is a personal function of existence, for generations has been a basic field of dialogue, understanding, interpenetration of cultures, and that in its principles it reaches out to universal intellectual and spiritual values.
